Rustic wicker basket handmade in a cooperative in the north of France. Created in 1849, it promotes the preservation of the craft that has been disappearing over the last century.

More than 200 varieties of willow grow on French soil, but only about ten of them are used for basket weaving. The wicker fibre is grown in areas located near waterways. A basket maker needs between 50 and 60 hectares of willow trees to produce the amount needed for his annual basketry production.
