A company that promotes sustainable production and respect for the environment and people.
  • Hamidou Dialloy and her partner, Finnish-born designer Tuulia Makinen Diallo, founded Tensira in 2010, turning their West African workshop into a hotbed of new ideas associated with this ancient African craft.
  • Tensira is the symbiosis between centuries-old know-how and creativity and the ever-bold Nordic design. An in-between place where Isita feels particularly comfortable. First, because Tensira defends an African craftsmanship that, if it does not find its place in the global market, risks disappearing. And secondly, because it is a company that guarantees a fair and safe working environment for its employees in Africa. A company that promotes sustainable production and respect for the environment and people. Of its more than 100 full-time employees, the majority are women.
  • Formulas made from vegetable fibres and colours are part of the secrets of a workshop located near the capital of the Republic of Guinea, in a place surrounded by vegetation. There, with traditional looms, pieces are woven with more than 3,000 hand-dyed threads.

A knowledge passed down from generation to generation that is now also part of Isita thanks to a cheerful and fresh collection. Quilts, cushions, tablecloths, napkins, tote bags, pouches and aprons in very special fabrics, with beautiful blues, reds, whites, pinks and browns, designed for the countryside, the city or the beach. Pieces full of light and joy that allow all kinds of ideas and combinations between them. The essence of Tensira and Isita united in an irresistible project to celebrate summer in style.
